Welcome to E-Gram Connect (“Portal”, “Platform”, “Service”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of E-Gram Connect’s web portal, subdomain websites, and mobile applications provided to Gram Panchayats, residents, and authorized users. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms. 1. Definitions “Portal” refers to the E-Gram Connect web application, mobile app, and subdomains provided to Gram Panchayats. “User” refers to residents, citizens, Gram Panchayat members, and authorized officers accessing the platform. “Service Provider” refers to the developers and maintainers of E-Gram Connect. “Gram Panchayat” (GP) refers to the local governing body using the system. “Data” refers to any information submitted, processed, or displayed on the portal including tax records, certificates, complaints, or personal details. 2. Services Provided Through E-Gram Connect, Gram Panchayats and residents can access the following: Property Tax Management – Property tax bills, demand notices, and online payments. Water Tax & Other Fees – Water usage charges, sanitation fees, and other recoveries. Certificate Services – Apply and download birth, death, residence, and other government certificates. Events & Announcements – Panchayat meetings, cultural programs, and Gram Sabha updates. Blog/News Updates – Information on Panchayat work, development schemes, and public news. Complaint & Grievance Redressal – Lodge and track complaints digitally. Digital Communication – Receive WhatsApp/SMS/email notifications from Panchayat. Mobile App & Subdomain Website – Personalized access for each Gram Panchayat. 3. User Responsibilities Provide accurate and updated information while using the portal. Pay applicable taxes and fees within due dates to avoid penalties. Maintain confidentiality of login credentials and do not share unauthorized access. Respect community guidelines when posting or engaging in blogs or events. Use the portal only for lawful purposes and as permitted by the Gram Panchayat. 4. Gram Panchayat Responsibilities Ensure timely publishing of tax rates, events, and official information. Provide accurate data for certificates, tax records, and recovery notices. Respond to citizen complaints and service requests through the platform. Renew annual service contracts with the provider to keep the portal active. 5. Payments & Renewals Tax and fee payments made through E-Gram Connect are subject to applicable government rules. Payment gateways may levy transaction charges, which will be displayed before payment. Annual subscription/renewal fees for Gram Panchayats must be paid to keep the portal and mobile app active. 6. Data Privacy & Security User data will be collected and stored securely as per our Privacy Policy. Personal information will not be sold or shared with unauthorized parties. Daily backups are taken, but the Gram Panchayat is responsible for providing accurate source data. In case of data loss caused by user error, recovery services may be chargeable. 7. Intellectual Property Rights E-Gram Connect software, logos, and modules remain the intellectual property of the Service Provider. Gram Panchayats are provided with a license to use the software but will not receive source code or ownership rights. Unauthorized copying, resale, or tampering with the software is strictly prohibited. 8. Service Support Support is available only to licensed Gram Panchayats with active annual service contracts. Support includes bug fixes, issue resolution, and system backup recovery. New features, customizations, or modifications will be treated as separate projects and charged additionally. 9. Dispute Resolution In case of disputes, efforts will be made to resolve them amicably. If unresolved, legal jurisdiction will be [Insert Court Location, e.g., Nagpur Court]. 10. Termination of Service The Service Provider may suspend or terminate access if: The Gram Panchayat fails to pay renewal/service charges. The platform is misused for unlawful or unauthorized purposes. Terms are violated by users or Panchayat authorities. 11. Amendments These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the platform implies acceptance of revised Terms.
